We are sometime lucky enough to walk outside on our acreage at night and see the mystical northern lights. I have actually laid down in the snow or ground to watch the magical vibrant show play out through the tops of the trees. So many stars, so much light and color! It is so dark in the country so everything really pops. In Canada the northern lights are important to the teachings and practices of Indigenous People. Cree and Ojibway teachings share the belief that the lights are "spirits of the ancestors celebrating life, reminding us that we are all part of creation'.
This little 8 x 10 unframed ( painting wraps sides) and sealed original art work lives on a birch panel with my signature in the from left corner, and stamp on back.
